197 contacts identified, including 189 hospitalized, according to an Izvestia source

On October 2, IRK.ru, citing an unnamed Izvestia source, reported 197 contacts. Of these, 189 had been hospitalized and eight remained outside hospital.

This investigation has no public anonymized contact register, dates on which each person was placed under observation or grounds for hospitalization. The figures therefore retain the status of information supplied by a journalistic source.

Earlier reports mentioned around 90 isolated people, while later international reports rounded the group to 200. Separate reports about more than 60 institute employees cannot automatically be added to 197: overlap between the groups has not been established.
