Kyrgyzstan stepped up sanitary checks on people, vehicles and cargo
On October 4, the Kyrgyz outlet KG24 relayed a report on stronger sanitary controls. It mentioned checks on arriving people, vehicles and cargo.
This investigation has not obtained the original agency order. Stronger sanitary checks do not mean the border was closed or that plague was confirmed among arrivals.
These measures cannot be described as checks on a Russian–Kyrgyz land border: the two countries have no shared border. The publication reflects Kyrgyzstan’s preventive response.
