Omsk authorities deny additional screening of arrivals from Irkutsk

Rospotrebnadzor’s Omsk regional office said it was not conducting anti-epidemic measures because it saw no grounds for them. Olga Bordyukova of Om1 Omsk published its response to her inquiry on 8 October.

An anonymous submission prompted the inquiry. Its author alleged that passengers arriving from Irkutsk on 7 October underwent two temperature checks and that people with high readings were directed to a separate bus. The author’s identity and account have not been authenticated.

According to the journalist, airport medical staff said flights from Irkutsk arrived on 2 and 6 October and none of the described procedures took place then. Flight schedules, medical logs and a signed authority response have not been independently checked; responding staff are unnamed.
