Observation ended for 60% of contacts

According to Rospotrebnadzor, Russia’s Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing, observation ended for 60% of contacts on October 5. This date was reconstructed in part from a retrospective account of the statement published on October 6.

Individual observation start and end dates and an anonymized testing schedule have not been published. The percentage cannot be interpreted as the share of people who had recovered from plague.

The agency later reported ending observation for more than 90% of contacts. These statements concern different stages of the measures.
