An infection warning and television reports disappeared, according to press accounts

On October 3, Meduza described the publication and subsequent removal of a warning by Baikalsk’s mayor about a possible dangerous infection. The same article mentioned deleted reports from the Russian television channel REN TV (REN Television).

This investigation does not have the mayor’s original post before deletion, a verified chain of provenance for screenshots or a complete set of archived snapshots of the television reports. The exact content and timing of each version could not be independently reconstructed.

Reports of deletion are retained with attribution to the publication. They do not establish why content was changed, and a technically inaccessible page is not, by itself, treated as evidence of deletion.
