Mongolia continues information exchange and urges people not to spread unverified reports

On 9 October, Mongolia’s National Centre for Zoonotic Diseases said professional agencies were cooperating in response to the situation in Russia, promptly exchanging information and continuing surveillance and monitoring. The appeal appears alongside the centre’s earlier reports about Irkutsk.

The centre advises readers not to be swayed by unverified social-media reports or messages with unidentified sources, and not to forward them without checking. It lists the World Health Organization, Rospotrebnadzor — Russia’s Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing, Mongolian Ministry of Health and its own website as information sources. The list also includes RIA Novosti (Russian Information Agency Novosti, a Russian state news agency).

The appeal provides no new laboratory results, established cause of Darya Shipilova’s death, count of new patients or decision imposing new restrictions. Documents exchanged between the agencies are not attached.

The appeal is dated 9 October 2026; its exact publication time and timezone are unstated. Added to the research on 9 October. The appeal’s date does not establish the time of every information exchange it mentions.
