Contact observation was being wound down in Irkutsk Region
By early October 8 in Irkutsk, international coverage continued of the announced completion of preventive measures. Rospotrebnadzor, Russia’s Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing, had previously reported ending observation for more than 90% of contacts.
A CNN broadcast on the United States Cable News Network, dated October 7 in the United States, covered the winding down of observation. On the Irkutsk timeline, the program falls on October 8, 01:00–01:30.
The television broadcast adds no new primary clinical result. The final conclusion on the cause of death and complete test reports had not been obtained by the investigation’s cutoff. Aggregate testing figures remain information from an agency statement.
