The United States health alert retained the existing advice against travel to Russia

On October 6, the United States Embassy in Moscow issued a health alert. The original page could not be read for technical reasons; the text was checked against an accessible copy and other publications.

The text said that Level 4 travel advice remained in effect. Accordingly, the general recommendation not to visit Russia and to leave the country is not presented here as a new ban introduced specifically because of the Irkutsk episode.
