Restrictions may have affected several Irkutsk hospitals

On October 4, Meduza relayed People of Baikal reports of restrictions or quarantine at several Irkutsk hospitals. The list included City Hospitals No. 1, No. 3 and No. 10 and Ivano-Matreninskaya Children’s Hospital.

The information came from people interviewed by the regional outlet. This investigation has not obtained separate signed orders, precise dates, lists of departments or details distinguishing restrictions on visits, admissions and discharges.

On October 5, Ivano-Matreninskaya hospital management said admissions were continuing as normal. This specifically denies a complete closure of the institution; it does not disclose every possible visiting rule in individual departments.

Measures at Shelekhov hospital were confirmed by a separate municipal statement and must not automatically be attributed to other institutions.
