Irkutsk Aluminium Smelter introduced a mask requirement

A report about a mask requirement at Irkutsk Aluminium Smelter appeared on October 3. Remarks by the plant’s director, Artyom Fominykh, were relayed in publications.

The measure was preventive. It does not establish plague among workers or connect the company to the alleged source of infection.

This investigation has not obtained the complete internal order or the times when the requirement began and ended. Later reports of regional restrictions cannot automatically be treated as a single order applying to all institutions.
