Reports of possible plague spread through shared sources

On October 2, The Insider and Mediazona circulated reports of an anti-plague institute employee’s death. Their sources included People of Baikal, Russian news agencies and the Telegram channels Mash, Baza and Borus.

The publications’ underlying sources overlapped. The broken test-tube allegation came from the same chain as the early laboratory-infection reports. These retellings provide no separate positive test results.

The pages show times of 14:58 and 15:59; their timezones have not been established in this investigation. The publications reflect wider circulation of the story, rather than two independent medical confirmations.
